From the moment you hit the water, you’ll be surrounded by jaw-dropping scenery—towering Fisher Towers, the La Sal Mountains, and sheer sandstone cliffs rising high above the Colorado River. But the real fun starts when you hear the unmistakable rush of whitewater ahead!
Hold on tight as you charge through splashy, heart-pounding rapids—Onion Creek, Professor Creek, and Rocky Rapid will get you warmed up before you take on Whites Rapid, the biggest thrill of the day! Between rapids, soak in the canyon’s towering walls, cool off with a swim, and fuel up with a delicious riverside lunch on a sandy beach.
As the afternoon unfolds, the river mellows, giving you time to float, take in the magic of the desert landscape, and listen to your guide’s stories about this wild and ancient land. You’ll paddle through the last miles of this stunning stretch before reaching the take-out point, where a shuttle will be waiting to return you to Moab.

What class of rapids will we run?
Class – II/III
- Class III during late May/early June
- Class II before & after late May/early June
What if the weather is bad?
Weather is part of the dynamic environment in which we operate. We may experience conditions that you do not consider ideal. If we determine that conditions are suitable for the activity you have booked and you instead wish to cancel/discontinue the trip, we will, whenever practical, end the trip at your request with no refund. If conditions are such that RRA deems it unwise to continue, we reserve the right to alter the itinerary, which may include, but may not be limited to, shortening of route or length of trip. We may also change venue or cancel the remainder of your trip. If, at time of cancellation, the trip is less than 1/2 complete, we will charge 50% of trip fee. If the trip is between 1/2 and completed, a full trip fee is charged.
Do I need prior rafting experience?
No experience is necessary! This is a beginner-friendly trip, and guides will provide all necessary safety instructions before you hit the water.
Can I bring a phone or camera?
You can, but it’s best to use a waterproof case or dry bag to protect it from splashes or accidental drops in the river.

- 50% deposit due at time of reservation.
- Balance is due and will be charged 7 days prior to departure.
- Cancellation/changes made 7 days prior to departure are FREE!
- Cancellations, in part or in full, within 7 days of departure will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Large Groups (14 or more)
- 50% deposit due at time of reservation.
- Balance is due and will be charged 14 days prior to departure.
- Cancellation/changes made 14 days prior to departure are FREE!
