Description

Ride the Emerald Necklace: Boston’s Living Landmark

Discover Boston’s green heart with the Emerald Necklace tour, a unique way to experience the city’s signature parks and paths.
Designed by landscape visionary Frederick Law Olmsted, the Necklace links a series of parks that thread through Boston’s neighborhoods. You’ll pedal along shaded boulevards, circle the serene waters of Jamaica Pond, and explore the winding trails of the Arnold Arboretum. The route also includes highlights like the Charles River Esplanade and the Rose Kennedy Greenway, offering variety and unexpected views around every turn.
Each season paints the landscape differently. In summer, the parks hum with activity, while spring bursts with vibrant blooms. In autumn, fiery reds and golds transform the foliage into a quintessential New England spectacle from October through early November.
Highlights of this Bike Tour:
  1. The Boston Common and Public Garden
  2. The famous Charles River Esplanade
  3. The Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
  4. The Rose Kennedy Greenway – Boston’s newest public park
  5. The Arnold Arboretum

  7. The Southwest Corridor Park
  8. And many more exciting sights!
