Ready to tackle the legendary climbs around Durango or just looking to cruise smooth pavement with some speed? 2nd Ave Sports offers premium road bike rentals perfect for everything from high-altitude training rides to casual scenic spins.
Our fleet features mostly Trek Domane bikes—known for their comfort, speed, and endurance geometry—plus a limited selection of gravel-ready builds for more adventurous routes. Whether you’re training, racing the Iron Horse, or just want to explore the high country on skinny tires, we’ve got your ride.
Where Can You Ride?
Road cyclists love the climb up to Purgatory, the ride to Vallecito Lake, and the out-and-back to Lemon Reservoir. Gravel-curious? You’ll find plenty of mellow dirt roads just outside town. Rentals are take-and-ride—no route restrictions.

What do I need to rent a bike?
To rent a bike, you’ll need to bring a valid photo ID and a credit card. We’ll place a temporary authorization hold as a security deposit during your rental. Don’t forget to bring both with you when picking up your bike!
Where are you located?
We’re right in the heart of downtown Durango at 640 East 2nd Ave, just a quick pedal from the Horse Gulch trail system. Swing by the shop to grab your bike and hit the dirt in minutes! Get directions on Google Maps.
Can I pick up the bikes the night before?
Yes, and for no extra charge after 4 PM the evening before the rental. Early pickup depends on the availability of the bike rental. Contact us after making the reservation to arrange an early pickup.
