Durango In-Town Mountain Bike Tour

Adventure Overview

Get ready for an awesome ride on Durango’s scenic mountain bike trails with a local guide who knows all the best spots. Whether you’ve never been on a mountain bike before or you’ve done a few rides and want to level up, we’ll create a ride that’s just right for your pace and comfort. No pressure—just fun, fresh air, and great views.

Choose between a 2-hour or 4-hour private tour for up to 5 people. You’ll explore trails right near downtown Durango, with your guide adjusting the route based on your ability and interests. We’ll bring the snacks—you just show up ready to have a good time! 

1. We'll choose from local trail networks like Horse Gultch, Twin Buttes (e-MTB friendly), Overend Mountain Park (also known as Test Tracks), Grandview Ridge, Three Springs (beginner friendly) and more. 
   
2. Durango has it all, and you can ride it all right from downtown.

Duration

• 2-Hour Tour: Quick and fun lap in one of Durango’s in-town trail systems

• 4-Hour Tour: The Local’s Way—two trail zones with a mid-ride lunch break (lunch not included)

Pedal time only. Time for bike rental, waivers, and meetup is not included in the tour duration.

Location / Where to Meet

We’ll start from your hotel, the trailhead, or a local bike shop—whatever works best for your ride. Pickup and drop-off from your accommodations are available upon request.

Not Included

1. Mountain bike rental (you can add on a bike rental during check-out). Bike rentals are available through a partner bike shop.

If you need bike rentals, they are available starting at 9 AM. For earlier rides, call ahead to arrange evening pickup. 

What to Bring / Wear

1. Athletic clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
   
2. Mountain bike shoes or grippy sneakers
   
3. Sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves (if you’ve got ’em)
   
4. Water bottle or hydration pack
   
5. Layers—weather can change fast in the high desert
