FAQs
Are there beginner-friendly trail options for the tours?
Absolutely! Durango has a ton of mellow, beginner-friendly trails. We’ll choose a route that matches your comfort level—think smooth, flowy singletrack with just the right amount of fun.
Are the tours kid-friendly?
Yep! Kids ages 10 and up are welcome on the tour, and we’ll make sure the route and pace are fun and safe for younger riders.
Are the Durango trails at high elevation?
Not super high—Durango sits at about 6,500 feet, which is considered mid-elevation. We’re in the high desert, so you might feel it a bit if you’re coming from sea level, but most folks adjust quickly and do great.
What level tours are available?
All levels! Whether you're a total beginner or an expert rider, Durango delivers. We’ve got everything from smooth green trails like Three Springs, to high-elevation alpine rides over 10,000 feet, and some seriously technical terrain for advanced mountain bikers. Whatever your style, we’ve got the trail for it.
What types of bikes are available to rent?
We partner with Second Ave Sports to offer high-quality full suspension mountain bikes—perfect for tackling Durango’s trails comfortably and confidently. Want to rent from a different shop? No problem! You're welcome to choose your own rental location if you have a favorite spot in town. We’ll help coordinate pickup and make sure your ride is ready to roll.
Are e-MTBs allowed on the Durango in town mountain biking tours?
Yes, with limited trail options. You can ride e-mountain bikes on the Twin Buttes trail system, which is very close to town and offers a lot of different varieties of great uphill and downhill trails.
