E-Bike Tour FAQs

Where do the tours meet?
All electric bike rentals leave from our shop in Jacksonport. The address is 6300 Highway 57, Sturgeon Bay WI 54235. Although it is a Sturgeon Bay mailing address, we are located about 20 miles north of Sturgeon Bay on the lake side of the highway.
What kind of electric bikes do you have?
We use Rad Power E -Bikes which fit riders from 4'11" - 6'2" with a maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs. A member of our staff will guide you through the steps on how to use your electric bike. E- bike rentals are great for the whole family, no experience necessary!
What should I bring?
You will want to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, shoes that can get wet, extra dry clothes for colder days and some positive energy. GoPros, cameras and cell phones, with a proper case and lanyard, are a great way to capture your experience.
What are E- Bikes?
E - bike stands for electric bicycle. They ride just like normal fat tire bicycles except the have an electric pedal assist motor. That means there is a motor that will make maintaining higher speeds while riding significantly more feasible than a traditional bicycle.
How long is the battery life of the e-bikes?
The amount of life you get out of your battery depends on hard you push it while riding. If you keep the pedal assist low (1 on a scale of 1 to 4) then you can get up to 45 miles per charge. If you keep it high (4 on a scale of 1 to 4) then the expected range is closer to 35 miles per charge.
How fast do we go?
You should only go at a speed with which you are comfortable. With the pedal assist fully engaged the E -Bikes can maintain a speed of roughly 20 mph.
Do you have tandem E- Bikes?
No we do not currently have any tandems E - bikes available for rent.
What is the age limit?
The age limit to rent an E - Bike is 16  and will also require a parent or guardian to sign a waiver for you.
Where can we go on the E - Bikes?
The most popular destination for E - Bike rentals are Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes. They can also be taken to one of the many Door County Land Trusts or county parks. You are also able to traverse the county and make it to cities such as Egg Harbor Or Bailey's Harbor to visit the ridges or grab lunch.
What is the weight limit for E - Bikes?
The weight limit for our E - bikes is 300 lbs.
Do I need experience before getting on a E - Bike?
No experience is necessary before riding an E - Bike.
