Wildlife Guidelines
Turtles, rays, sharks, seals, and dolphins are all protected species in Hawaii. You are not allowed to chase, harass, feed, or TOUCH any of the marine species. Please enjoy their company if they approach from a distance and calmly move away from them if in their path. Please also be respectful of the fact that coral is a living organism and any standing, touching, or knocking over will irreparably damage the organism that takes a very long time to grow and is essential to our marine reefs.

FAQs
What sizes do you have?
We carry sizes from XS-XXL in BCDs and wetsuits! We have snorkel sets for kids available!
What size tanks do you have, and do you rent Nitrox?
For both air and nitrox, we rent sizes 63's and 80's in the tanks, we do not have any 100's. We rent nitrox but you must show proof of your nitrox certification!
Do you have prescription masks?
Sorry we do not have prescription masks at this time!
Can I rent scuba gear without my certification?
You NEED to be certified in order to rent scuba gear and you will need to show proof of your certification when you pick up the gear. If you are PADI-certified, we can usually search your certification online with your name and date of birth but any other organizations should plan to bring their card with them.
Can I fly after diving? **ANY elevation above 1000FT (305m) is DANGEROUS
Flying directly after scuba diving is incredibly dangerous and could result in a life-threatening illness called the Bends/Decompression Sickness. The Divers Alert Network (DAN) guidelines for flying after diving include:
- A single no-decompression dive, a minimum preflight surface or any driving to above 1000ft (305m) interval of 12 hours suggested.
- Multiple dives per day or multiple days of diving, a minimum preflight surface or any driving to above 1000ft (305m) interval of 18 hours is suggested.
- Dives requiring decompression stops are recommended to have longer than 18 hours.
Please double check any travel after your dive. Any road that leaves Kona going North or going South will bring you above the recommended limits. The saddle road to Hilo also rises to above the recommended elevation after diving. Please treat this overland travel just like flying.
