Discover Scuba Diving in Key West - No Certification Required!

Always wonder what it would be like to scuba dive but don’t have time to get certified? This Discover Scuba day is for you! No certifications or experience necessary, but reasonable physical health is required!

Duration of Adventure

1. 8 hours
   
2. 9:00 am to 11:00 am is the primary pool session at the Hilton Garden Inn Pool
   
3. 11:30 am break for lunch
   
4. 1:00 pm return to dive shop for the 2-tank afternoon reef dives
   

Location / Where to Meet

1. Pool Address: 3850 N Roosevelt Blvd, Key West, FL 33040
   
2. Shop Address: 606 Front St, Key West, FL 33040
   
3. You’ll start by meeting at the pool at the Hilton Garden Inn, break for lunch, and then meet at the shop for the boat. The boat docks directly across the street from the shop at the Hyatt Resort and Marina.
   
4. There is free parking available at the pool.
   
5. There is no free parking nearby the shop, but there is street side and paid parking available. Paid parking can be located at 700 Front St, Key West, FL 33040.
   

Ages & Requirements

1. Minimum age of 12 years old
   
2. A parent must be on the boat if the minor is under 14, if the minor is 14 to 17, a parent must sign an emergency consent to treat form
   
3. Must be able to swim
   
4. There will be a medical questionnaire that must be filled out ahead of the dive. If you answer yes to certain questions, you may be asked to obtain a signed doctor's note clearing you for the activity. The questionnaire often used can also be searched as the PADI/DAN Medical Scuba Statement/questionnaire. 
   
5. Must be able to climb a ladder back into the boat
   
6. Gear sizes range from XS to 3XL with children’s sizes as well
   

What’s Included

1. 1 Instructional morning pool session
   
2. 2 tank afternoon reef dives
   
3. Certified instructor and guide
   
4. Rental scuba equipment (BCDs, wetsuits, regulators, etc.) 
   
5. Boat ride to reef locations
   
6. Water is available on the boat and a cooler if participants want to bring their own snacks
   
7. Not Included
   
8. Gratuity - Never expected but if you have a great experience, please consider gifting 10-25% to your guides and captain!
   
9. Certifications - this is solely a small class and 2 dives, you are not a certified scuba diver after this.
   
10. There are no prescription masks available, please rent one from another shop ahead of your class time if you need one.
    

What to Bring / Wear

1. Swimsuit

3. Reef-Safe Sunscreen
   
4. Extra layers of clothing - sweatshirts and warm hats
   
5. Dry bag
   
6. Snacks & Water
   
7. Required paperwork - Signed medical form if required, waivers, etc.
   
8. Waterproof & Pressure Proof Camera (e.g. GoPros NEED the special DIVE case) - The company is not responsible for any damaged or lost items.
   
9. Seasickness medications - If you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take sea sickness medication at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before the scheduled boat time. It is too late to take the medication if you are already seasick on the boat.
   
10. Please remove any jewelry, watches, or anything that can get caught by the equipment or damaged by the water and pressure.
