Longmont Ski & Snowboard Rentals: Daily & Multi-Day Packages

Skip the resort rental line and start your ski day already geared up. This downtown Longmont shop on Main Street sets you up with skis or a snowboard, boots, and bindings before you ever leave town, so when you reach the mountain you can walk straight from the parking lot to the lift. Eldora Mountain Resort is less than an hour's drive away, and the rest of Colorado's Front Range and I-70 ski areas are within reach for a day trip or a full week on snow.

Rentals run from a single day up to seven days, with packages for adults and kids. Pick your gear up the evening before your first day and bring it back the morning after your last, at no extra charge, which means no rushing out of the shop at opening time and no racing back down the canyon before closing. Kids' rentals come with a helmet, and skiers get poles with every package.

The same team that fits your rental also runs a full-service tune shop and sells new skis, boards, and boots, so you're being sized by people who work on this gear every day. If you rent from the demo fleet and fall for what you're riding, part of your rental can go toward buying a new setup.

Rental Packages

Four daily rental tiers are available for both skiers and snowboarders. You'll choose your package and tell us whether you ski or ride when you book.

  1. Demo Package - Includes skis or a snowboard, boots, bindings, and poles for skiers. Demo rentals are part of the Buy and Try program: if you decide to buy, part of your rental is applied to a new ski package.
  2. Performance All Mountain Package - Includes skis or a snowboard, boots, bindings, and poles for skiers.
  3. Sport Package - Includes skis or a snowboard, boots, bindings, and poles for skiers.
  4. Kids' Rental - For riders up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Includes skis or a snowboard, boots, bindings, poles for skiers, and a helmet.

Location of Rental Pickup

Pick up and return your gear at the shop: 463 Main Street, Longmont, CO 80501 (Google Maps location).
  1. Early pickup: pick up your gear the night before your first rental day at no extra charge.
  2. Return: drop your gear off the morning after your last rental day at no extra charge.
  3. Shop hours during ski season: Monday to Saturday 10 am to 7 pm, Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.
The shop is in downtown Longmont on Main Street. It is not slopeside; you'll take your gear with you and drive to the ski area of your choice. Eldora Mountain Resort is less than an hour's drive from Longmont.

Ages & Requirements

  1. Kids' rentals are sized by weight rather than age and fit riders up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
  2. Riders over 100 lbs (45 kg) rent from the Sport, Performance All Mountain, or Demo packages.
  3. You'll need a vehicle that can carry your skis or snowboard to the mountain.

Not Included

  1. Helmet for adult rentals. Helmet rental can be added for an extra fee.
  2. Rental insurance. Optional ski and snowboard rental insurance can be added for an extra fee. It covers repair or replacement costs up to a set limit; you are responsible for any damage or replacement costs above that limit.
  3. Lift tickets and resort passes.
  4. Transportation to and from the ski area.
  5. Ski clothing, goggles, and gloves. Helmets, goggles, gloves, socks, and winter apparel are available to buy in the shop.

What to Bring / Wear

  1. Ski or snowboard socks. Wear them to your fitting so your boots are sized the way you'll ride in them.
  2. Waterproof jacket and snow pants.
  3. Base layers and a mid-layer. Choose moisture-wicking fabrics and avoid cotton.
  4. Waterproof gloves or mittens.
  5. Goggles or sunglasses.
  6. Helmet, if you are an adult and are not adding a rental helmet.
  7. Sunscreen and lip balm with SPF. The sun is strong at altitude, even on cold days.
  8. Your booking confirmation.
  9. Your own boots, if you prefer to ride in them.

FAQs

Can we pick up our rental equipment the day before?

Yes. You can pick up your gear the night before your first day and drop it off the morning after your last day, with no extra fees.

Do you rent helmets?

Yes. A helmet is included with every kids' rental. Adult rentals don't include one, but you can add a rental helmet for an extra fee.

Is damage protection included?

It isn't included, but we offer optional ski and snowboard rental insurance for an extra fee. It's basic coverage meant to offset the cost of repairable damage to your rental equipment, or a portion of the replacement cost if it's lost or stolen, up to a set limit. You're responsible for any damage or replacement costs above that limit. Typical damage includes top sheet damage from banging skis together, base damage from hitting rocks, broken bindings, and bent or compressed edges.

Can I buy the gear I rent?

Our Demo package is part of our Buy and Try program. If you decide to buy, we'll apply part of your rental to a new ski package.

Where can I take the rental gear?

Anywhere you want to ski or ride. You take the gear with you and bring it back to us when your rental ends. Eldora Mountain Resort is less than an hour's drive from Longmont, and most of Colorado's other ski areas are within a few hours.

Do you offer season-long rentals?

Yes. We offer season rentals for skis and snowboards that you can keep until May 1st, with half-priced tunes all season long, plus a youth season rental that lets kids trade up as they grow. Season rentals are booked separately from the daily and multi-day rentals on this page.

What should I wear skiing or snowboarding in Colorado?

Dress in layers: a moisture-wicking base layer, an insulating mid-layer, and a waterproof jacket and pants. Add ski socks, waterproof gloves or mittens, goggles, and a helmet. Skip cotton, which stays wet and cold, and don't forget sunscreen.

Cancellation Policy

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
