Guided Crystal Mountain Snowshoe Tour & Optional Gondola Ride
Trade the city for snow-capped serenity on this guided snowshoe adventure at Crystal Mountain, one of Washington’s most stunning winter destinations. Nestled just outside Mount Rainier National Park, Crystal Mountain is home to deep evergreen forests, sparkling snowfields, and sweeping alpine views. This five-mile guided snowshoe tour is the perfect way to experience the beauty of the Cascades—no skiing or experience required. Your expert guides will lead you along peaceful trails framed by towering firs and open valleys that make for unforgettable photo ops.
Before setting out on the trail, you’ll have the option to ride the scenic Crystal Mountain Gondola—soaring 2,400 feet for a panoramic view of Mount Rainier (weather permitting). Gondola tickets can be purchased onsite, and your guide will advise if conditions are favorable. We’ll provide all the gear you need, including snowshoes, trekking poles, and a backpack—just bring warm layers, sturdy boots, and your sense of adventure. If you find yourself needing extra outerwear, rental jackets and snow pants are available at the resort.
Round-trip transportation from downtown Seattle and surrounding areas makes this full-day winter escape simple and seamless. Whether you’re trying snowshoeing for the first time or just looking for a new way to explore the mountains, this Crystal Mountain snowshoe tour promises fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and plenty of Pacific Northwest magic.

No experience is necessary! This tour is beginner-friendly, and your guide will show you everything you need to know.
Is the gondola ride included in the price?
The gondola ride is optional and not included in the base tour. You can purchase tickets separately if you’d like to ride to the summit for incredible views of Mount Rainier.
How far is Crystal Mountain from Seattle?
Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is approximately 85 miles southeast of downtown Seattle, about a 2-hour drive depending on traffic and road conditions. The scenic drive takes you through the Cascade foothills, offering beautiful views along the way.

We understand that sometimes plans change! Or maybe you haven't quite got your travel plans sorted yet. We want you to feel fully confident with your booking. We offer a FULL refund if canceled at least 24 hours in advance. So you can book stress free!
We go out rain or shine. The only time Adventures In Seattle will cancel your hike is if there are dangerous conditions such as lightning or high winds that make the trail unsafe. Should that occur, we will offer a full refund or attempt to reschedule you to another day.
