Townie & E-Cruiser Bike Rentals – Explore Durango on Two Wheels
Cruising Main Street, coasting along the Animas River Trail, or running errands in town—2nd Ave Sports has the perfect cruiser or e-bike for your laid-back Durango adventures. Whether you’re just looking to explore town or need an easy, fun ride for the whole family, our fleet of comfortable townies and smooth pedal-assist e-cruisers has you covered.
What’s Available:
- Classic Cruisers – From Trek and Electra, built for comfort and mellow rides around town
- E-Cruisers – Pedal-assist bikes from Trek and Electra (Class 1) with smooth support and solid range for exploring more of Durango with less effort
- Kids Trailer – Haul your little one (or small pup!) in a BusyBee trailer
- Note: Adult sizing only—if you're under 5’4” a mountain bike may be a better fit
Where Can You Ride?
Cruise through downtown Durango, roll the scenic Animas River Trail, or pedal out to a brewery or local park. Bikes are yours to take wherever your adventure leads.
We have a large map at the bike shop, and our team would be happy to give you ideas for exploring Durango by bike.

What do I need to rent a bike?
To rent a bike, you’ll need to bring a valid photo ID and a credit card. We’ll place a temporary authorization hold as a security deposit during your rental. Don’t forget to bring both with you when picking up your bike!
Where are you located?
We’re right in the heart of downtown Durango at 640 East 2nd Ave, just a quick pedal from the Horse Gulch trail system. Swing by the shop to grab your bike and hit the dirt in minutes! Get directions on Google Maps.
Can I pick up the bikes the night before?
Yes, and for no extra charge after 4 PM the evening before the rental. Early pickup depends on the availability of the bike rental. Contact us after making the reservation to arrange an early pickup.
