Cross Country Ski Package – Glenwood Springs, CO
Trade the lift lines for a quieter kind of skiing. The downtown Glenwood Springs shop rents full cross-country setups, so you can head out onto groomed and backcountry Nordic trails around the valley at your own pace.
Your team will get you into skis, boots, and poles sized to you before you head out — a straightforward way to try Nordic skiing without committing to your own gear, or to get out on the trails during a trip built around downhill skiing too.
Duration
- Full-day and multi-day rentals are available, for up to 10 days — booked and charged by the day, with flexibility to adjust if your plans change.
- Pick up your package during shop hours, or stop in between 2–6 PM the day before to get fitted ahead of time — take your gear with you or leave it in free overnight storage at the shop.
- A 1-day rental is not a 24-hour rental: equipment must be returned by 6 PM the same day, or an overnight fee applies. For multi-day rentals, equipment is due back by 6 PM on your scheduled return day, or an overnight fee applies.
- Ski season runs Dec. 1 – Mar. 31, with the shop open 8 AM–6 PM, seven days a week, including holidays.

FAQs
Do you rent ski clothing too?
Yes, we carry winter coats, bibs, and pants in a range of sizes. Rental clothing can be booked online separately.
Can I pick up my rental gear the day before?
Yes, and we encourage it. Stop in between 2–6 PM the day before your rental day to get fitted. You can take your gear with you overnight or leave it with us in free overnight storage
What if I return the equipment late?
A 1-day rental isn't a 24-hour rental — equipment is due back by 6 PM on your scheduled return day. Returning it after that applies an overnight fee.
Do I need experience to cross-country ski on my own?
It helps, but it's approachable for first-timers — the learning curve is more about balance and rhythm than anything technical. Starting on flatter, groomed terrain makes for an easier first outing.
Cancellation Policy
You must cancel or modify your reservation at least 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your rental are non-refundable. Please note that weather conditions do not qualify for exceptions or special refunds, so please plan accordingly.
