Tour Itinerary
Our Creole & Crescent Bike Tour Is Perfect for New Orleans First-Timers, Families, Solo Travelers and Anyone Who Loves Bike Riding, Beautiful Scenery, Sightseeing, History, Entertaining Storytelling and Having a Good Time!
We delve into the first 150 years of the fascinating history of the city; you’ll learn why New Orleans is such a unique place all while being immersed in the natural beauty of the route. Our Creole & Crescent Bike Tour is the Original and Most Popular New Orleans Bike Tour for 11 Years Running.
Departing our office in the French Quarter by bicycle, our first destination is Esplanade Avenue, home to the old Creole gentry of New Orleans. The 'Avenue of The Creoles' boasts 19th Century mansions, and is lined with centuries-old Oak trees – it is a true New Orleans treasure. What’s a “Creole?” Is that a “Cajun?” We’ll clarify the confusion!
Cruising down Esplanade, on the outskirts of the French Quarter, we’ll visit one of the city’s most famous cemeteries, Saint Louis Cemetery No. 3, where we’ll see above-ground crypts and explain to you why this is the way that we bury our departed.
Emerging from the cemetery, our bike tour passes over Bayou St. John and into City Park where lives the largest grove of mature Live Oak trees in the world - it's 1,000 years old! Historic recollections of the old dueling grounds whereby bullet and blade, many proud and charismatic New Orleanians met their demise.
Either before or after showing you a few other whimsical attractions beneath the shaded canopy of the ancient Oaks, a break for refreshments at a local coffee shop is on the itinerary.
The journey back to the French Quarter begins with a ride on Magnolia Bridge over Bayou St. John and down Oak-canopied Ursulines Avenue before crossing into the famous Treme’ neighborhood - a place that music is always playing and good food is always cooking!
The last stop is Louis Armstrong Park and the 'Birthplace of Jazz Music.' Congo Square (inside the park) is where the grand form of music, Jazz, came into existence. How you ask? Reserve a ticket and you'll find out.
A few blocks away we apply the brakes at home base, our office in the French Quarter, where restrooms and refreshments await where we'll answer any questions that you may have. We'll even give you our recommendations of what else is a 'must do' while in New Orleans.
$50 General ticket includes professional licensed tour guide, your bike with a basket & bell, a helmet, and bottled water.
Our Creole & Crescent tour space is limited to 10 people per tour twice a day – So Book Now and let’s go for a ride!
