Leave No Trace

We are passionate about protecting the incredible natural environment of Sugarloaf Key and the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. To help us preserve these waters for future generations, we ask all guests to follow these Leave No Trace principles during their tour:

  1. Pack it in, pack it out. Bring all trash, water bottles, and personal items back with you to shore.
  2. Respect wildlife. Observe sea turtles, starfish, rays, and fish from a distance. Please do not touch, chase, or feed any animals.
  3. Stay on the guided route. Our paddling path is carefully chosen to protect sensitive seagrass beds, mangrove roots, and coral areas.
  4. Use reef-safe sunscreen. Regular sunscreens can damage marine ecosystems. Please apply only reef-safe options to help protect the clear waters you are paddling through.
  5. Leave natural objects in place. Shells, corals, and other natural items are best left where they belong to support the ecosystem.

By practicing Leave No Trace, you help preserve the pristine beauty of Sugarloaf Key’s waters and ensure future paddlers have the same unforgettable experience.
