Formerly Lone Mountain Sports, Christy Sports - Big Sky Mountain Village is a premier alpine ski shop located in the Arrowhead mall with access to the Ramcharger ski lift. This location has been serving the Big Sky community since 1973 and is dedicated to creating a positive and fun skiing experience. Christy Sports offers expert service, premium gear and the following benefits:

Demo Ski Package – Adult
The Demo Ski Package provides top-of-the-line ski rental equipment for any skier type. Demo packages include our most current models of performance skis from the best brands. Our demo rental fleet is consistent with the equipment we have for sale in the store.
- Ski models are comparable to Atomic Bent Chetler, Blizzard Black Pearl, Rossignol BlackOps Smasher, K2 Mindbender, Volkl Yumi.
- Binding models are comparable to Marker FTD TP, Salomon M11, Tyrolia SP, Elan SP, Atomic Warden.
- Boot models are comparable to Rossignol All Track, Salomon S Pro, Nordica SpeedMachine.
Premium [Performance] Ski Package – Adult
The Premium Ski Package provides high-quality ski rental equipment from recent model years. Ability levels include intermediate to advanced skiers, or if you are a beginner skier who is looking to advance your skills quickly.
- Ski models are comparable to Volkl Deacon, K2 Mind Bender, Salomon Stance.
- Boot models are comparable to Technica Mach Sport HV, Head Edge LYT, Nordica SportMachine, Technica Mach Sport HV.
Sport Ski Package – Adult
The Sport Ski Package is ideal for beginner to intermediate skiers, who prefer slower speeds yet are looking to advance their skills. The skis are flexible and forgiving, allowing for less-powerful skiers to make nicely carved turns. If you want to venture beyond the groomed green and blue runs, the sport skis will provide sufficient stability to ski over variable terrain.
- Ski models are comparable to Blizzard XCR, Rossignol React R2 & Rossignol Nova R2.
- Boot models are comparable to Technica Mach Sport HV, Head Edge LYT, Nordica SportMachine, Technica Mach Sport HV.
Premium [Performance] Ski Package – Kids
The Junior Premium Ski Package is suitable for kids 12 and under. The premium ski equipment will meet the needs of the intermediate to advanced junior skier who has good confidence, stability, and skills. The junior premium skis are suitable for all terrain types, providing stability at relatively quick speeds.
- Ski models are comparable to Dynastar Menace, Atomic Bent Chetler Jr., Armada ARV, K2 Reckoner.
- Ski binding models are comparable to Marker M4.5 & M7.0, Marker FTD TP.
- Ski Boots are comparable to Salomon T2, Salomon T3.
Demo Snowboard Package – Adult
The Demo Snowboard Package provides top-of-the-line snowboard rental equipment for any snowboard style. Demo packages include our most current models of performance snowboards from the best brands. Our demo rental fleet is consistent with the equipment we have for sale in store.
- Snowboard models are comparable to Jones Mountain Twin (+ Sister) Salomon Rumble Fish, Never Summer Infinity, Capita Mercury, Ride War Pig.
- Snowboard binding models are comparable to Ride A-6, Salomon District Shadow, Salomon Mirage Shadow, Union Force, Union Trilogy.

All-Mountain Snowboard Package – Adult
The All-Mountain Snowboard Package offers a selection of snowboards specific to the current conditions and the terrain you want to ride. If you arrive during a week of bottomless powder you'll be able to choose a wide board that floats on the surface, or if you arrive amidst more variable conditions you can rent a stiffer carving board, or park board to make the most of your time on the mountain.
- Snowboard models are comparable to Salomon Craft & Salomon Oh Yeah.
- Boots models are comparable to K2 Raider Boa & K2 Haven.
Sport Snowboard Package – Adult
The Sport Snowboard Package is ideal for the beginner snowboarder who may require a softer deck to learn more easily how to carve a perfect snowboard turn and gain confidence riding down moderately steep terrain. The boards provided in this package can take you anywhere on the mountain, including the park, but as you become more advanced you'll find the All-Mountain Snowboard Package to better support your ability.

FAQs
How can I receive up to 20% off my rental?
The more you plan in advance the better your discount will be, up to 20%. Not valid with a walk-in rental, cannot be combined with any other promotions or discounts.
How does rental delivery work?
- MAKE A RESERVATION ONLINE: Delivery rental is available in Breckenridge/Summit County, CO, Steamboat Springs, Telluride, and Park City/Deer Valley, UT. Choose your gear and a make a reservation online.
- DELIVERY COORDINATOR CALL: A delivery coordinator will call you in advance to coordinate a meeting place based on your specific lodging. At this time, they will also ask you to elect a group leader to coordinate with during the fitting process.
- RENTAL GEAR DELIVERY & FITTING: The rental delivery team will meet your party at the prearranged time and location. The team will ensure that your equipment is fit and setup for you perfectly.
- COORDINATE GEAR PICKUP OR DROPOFF: At the end of your trip, our delivery team will coordinate with you to pick up gear at a location of your choice. You may also return your rentals at any of our stores in the region you are skiing. Late return fees apply.
There is a 2-day minimum for delivery rentals. Reservations can be made for 1-day but will be charged the 2-day minimum. Your gear will be delivered and picked up from your place of lodging regardless of duration.
Do you offer helmet and google rentals?
If you would like a helmet please reserve it with your rental. The cost is $14.95 per day. Helmet quantities are limited and we cannot guarantee a Helmet will be available without a reservation.
At this time we do not offer goggles to rent. These items can be purchased in store or online.
Do you offer a damage waiver for rental equipment?
Yes, all Christy Sports locations offer the damage waiver. The cost is $4 per person, per day. Damage waiver covers only breakage or damage of equipment, it does not cover loss, theft or personal injury.
When can I pick up my equipment?
Rental equipment can be picked up on the first day of the rental reservation, or if you select “early pickup” during your reservation, you can pick up your equipment after 3pm the day before your first rental day.
What size ski and snowboard boots do you carry?
We have ski boot sizes from a junior size 8 to an adult size 16, and snowboard boots to a size 15.
What ski length should I rent?
Your equipment will be custom fitted by one of our expert technicians, when you arrive at the store for pickup.
Can I bring my own boots?
No problem, we have a price for skis only, this package does not include boots.
Can I pick up my equipment at one location and drop it off at another?
Equipment must be returned to the location rented from.
What type of skier am I?
Type I Ski Cautiously, Type II Ski Moderately, Type III Ski Aggressively.
Do you rent ski and snowboard clothing?
No, we currently do not rent ski or snowboard clothing. Our locations have a wide selection of ski and snowboard clothes available for purchase.
What can I expect when picking up rental gear at Christy Sports Big Sky?
- Each person renting equipment must be present for proper fitting and to sign the rental agreement. If under age 18, a parent or guardian must be present. Each renter must be prepared to show proper ID.
- If you are using some of your own gear (IE, your own boots or ski/snowboard), you must bring your gear for fitting when you pick up your rental equipment.
- If you do not arrive on your pickup date, we cannot guarantee availability of the gear you reserved.
- Your balance due may vary slightly from your confirmation based on the date of your pick-up, the actual equipment rented and finalization of sales tax amounts based on where you finalize your rental.
- Holidays and weekends can become very busy. You may call your rental location in advance for advice on the best fitting time for your pickup day.
Can I have someone pick up my rental equipment?
No, Each person renting equipment must be present for proper fitting and to sign the rental agreement. If under age 18, a parent or guardian must be present. Each renter must be prepared to show proper ID.
When is my rental equipment due back?
Rental returns are due back the day after your rental date has expired. Please be sure to return your equipment by 10 am. For example, if you rent from 12/1 to 12/2 the equipment can be returned on 12/2 or the next day, 12/3 by 10 am. Equipment returned after 10 a.m. will be charged for an additional full day of rental at the walk-in price.
What ages can use a kids rental package?
Kids packages are for kids 12 and under. Renters over 12 years old must rent an adult package. The reservation system will not allow for renters over 12 to reserve a kids package.
Can a child 12 and under rent an adult package?
Yes, a child under 12 can rent an adult package if desired. The charge will still be for the adult package daily rate.

Can I choose my skis?
Our expert team members will have a suggested ski waiting for you on arrival based on your skier type, local conditions and your personal details. They’re happy to provide additional options if needed when you arrive.

Please cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to your pick-up day for a full refund. You can make changes at any time. Requested changes are subject to availability.
