Stunning Hike Through Classic Moab Slot Canyon Featuring Two Rappels
A cool escape for the more venturesome of travelers, Entrajo Canyon offers a tight and technical canyoneering experience. This route has potholes, some easy scrambling, two breath-taking rappels of 25 ft then 90ft, and sometimes wading or a short swim. A favorite of locals, this water-carved geological feature presents a challenge for problem-solving aficionados.
NOTE: Spring rains and summer monsoon thunderstorms may result in pools of cold water that require wading and/or swimming. Bring a change of clothes! The canyon may be dry in the summer, depending on conditions.
Duration
Just a short 20 minute drive from Moab, this easy-moderate excursion is approximately 4 hours long, and covers 2.5 miles. Make sure to reserve at least half your day!

Yes! To guarantee space on your trip of choice, (especially on holidays and weekends,) please make a reservation.
What is the parking situation?
There is plenty of secure parking at the office. Valuables may be left in locked cars, or dropped off at the desk before your trip.
Are there bugs?
Moab is known for its arid terrain, so luckily bugs are not a big issue.
What is the weather like?
Weather in Moab can be extremely hot during the summer, and Utah is known for its abundant sunshine. Expect temperatures up to 110 degrees in June, July, and August. August marks monsoon season in the desert, so be prepared for short but thunderous storms in the afternoons.
