Bryce Canyon Backcountry Hiking Shuttle Service for Self-Guided Hikes

Skip the crowds and the stress of parking at Bryce Canyon’s popular trailheads, and experience the off-the-beaten-path sides of the park. Our convenient hiking shuttle service takes you directly to your chosen trailhead, leaving you free to enjoy the park's breathtaking scenery. We’ll meet you at the Visitor Center Overflow, drop you off at your starting point, and from there, you’re on your way to an unforgettable hiking experience. When you hike out at Bryce Point, simply hop on the park shuttle to return to your vehicle at the Visitor Center, making the entire process smooth and efficient. Let us help you access the less-traveled sides of the park and make the most of your visit to Bryce Canyon with our stress-free hiking shuttle service!

Shuttle Options

Choose from three trailhead destinations, each offering unique perspectives of Bryce Canyon:
Visitor Center overflow to Swamp Canyon
Swamp Canyon Trail connects to the Under-the-Rim Trail, offering serene forested areas and sweeping views of Bryce’s hoodoos from below.
Visitor Center overflow to Whiteman's Bench
Whiteman’s Bench serves as another entry point to the Under-the-Rim Trail, providing access to dramatic views of Bryce Canyon’s backcountry. This area is ideal for hikers looking for a more remote and immersive experience.
Visitor Center overflow to Yovimpa/Rainbow Point
The highest elevation in Bryce Canyon, Yovimpa and Rainbow Points connect to trails like the Bristlecone Loop and southern segments of the Under-the-Rim Trail. Explore ancient bristlecone pines and enjoy panoramic views stretching to the Grand Staircase.

FAQs

Why should I take this shuttle when there is a free park shuttle?

The free park shuttle primarily serves popular viewpoints and trailheads along the main scenic drive in Bryce Ampitheater. Our shuttle takes you to less-visited areas - Swamp Canyon, Whiteman’s Bench, and Yovimpa/Rainbow Point - providing access to backcountry trails that are off the beaten path.

Is there a minimum number of guests required?

We require a minimum of two guests to offer the shuttle.

How far will the hikes be?

The distance and time depend on the trail you choose. Most hikes from these trailheads to Bryce Point range from 2–6 miles and can take 1.5–4 hours, depending on your pace and route.

Is the shuttle service round-trip?

No, this is a one-way shuttle to the trailhead. After your hike, the free park shuttle will return you to the Visitor Center.

In the off-season when the shuttle is not running, because we meet at Bryce Point, you will end your hike at your car.
