Blake Island State Park sits in the middle of Puget Sound — 15 miles of trails, 5 miles of beaches, ancient madrona forests, and views that stretch in every direction. Getting there by sea kayak from West Seattle is one of the great overnight adventures in the Pacific Northwest, and Alki Kayak Tours handles everything so your group can focus entirely on the experience.
The overnight tour launches from the Alki Kayak Tours dock and heads north around Duwamish Head before paddling along the easy landings of Alki Beach for a rest stop. From there, the group crosses Puget Sound to Blake Island — a true wilderness getaway just minutes from Seattle by water. Once on solid ground, set up camp and lace up your hiking shoes to explore the island forests before dinner around the campsite.
In the event of strong winds, the Southworth ferry provides a safe return route. Tour launches may also shift to the west side of West Seattle depending on weather. All camping and kayaking gear is provided including tents, and Alki Kayak Tours supplies dinner and breakfast. Bring your own sleeping bag and pad, a mess kit, and lunches. Maximum 10 guests — a genuinely intimate expedition.
