Animas River Trail Bike Tour in Durango, Colorado
The Animas River Trail is one of Durango most beloved rides - a paved concrete path that weaves through the heart of downtown alongside the beautiful, historic Animas River. This laid-back 2-3 hour guided tour is the perfect way to experience Durango scenery, local culture, and natural history with a knowledgeable guide by your side.
Along the way, you will roll past historical sites and buildings, wildlife, native plant life, sandy riverside beaches, a whitewater park, a botanical garden, a fish hatchery, and more. Every tour has the option to stop for food, snacks, coffee, or ice cream at one of Durango local spots. This tour is designed for all ages and all fitness levels. E-bike options are also available.
Need a bike? Durango Biking Adventures partners with 2nd Ave Sports for discounted bike and helmet rentals. Your guide will coordinate the rental and arrive with your bike ready to go. The earliest rental start time is 9 AM due to shop hours.

Rentals cannot be guaranteed for bookings made within 24 hours. If a rental is unavailable, you will receive a full refund for the rental portion.

Yes. Durango Biking Adventures provides pickup and drop-off from your accommodation, trailhead, or bike shop.
What is the weather policy?
If the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, guests receive a full refund or credit.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All participants must complete and sign a waiver and pre-trip briefing form before the tour. Details are provided in your booking confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made with at least 2 weeks notice will receive a refund minus a $20 fee. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the tour are non-refundable. No-shows will be charged the full amount. If Durango Biking Adventures cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, guests receive a full refund or credit.
