The Alki Lighthouse Sea Kayak Tour takes you through the shimmering waters of Elliott Bay toward the historic Alki Lighthouse, with sweeping views of the Seattle skyline, the Cascade Mountains, and the Olympic Mountains framing every stroke.
Your knowledgeable guide leads the group around Duwamish Head and along Alki Beach, sharing the natural and cultural history of this peninsula-rich coastline. Keep your eyes open for California sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, and osprey that call this urban waterway home. When tides are right, the tour may include a tide pooling and natural history walk along Alki Point.
No experience necessary. After a brief kayak fitting and paddling tutorial, you will feel confident and ready to explore. Tours run daily and are busiest on summer weekends. In the rare event of heavy winds, the Duwamish River serves as an alternate destination so your adventure always goes on safely.
