This scenic trail takes riders through Dyke Marsh and Belle View Park. The canopy coverage and banks of the Potomac provide seclusion and a beautiful transition back in time to an early America, making the ride a wonderful way to approach the timeless feel of George Washington’s home.

Mount Vernon Bike Rental Options

We offer bikes for everyone, including e-Bikes(16+), Kids Bikes and Tandems. Additionally, we have tag-a-longs and toddler trailers available for families looking to take a ride together. We offer everything you need to make your exploration of the Golden Gate Bridge successful and memorable. Additionally, our knowledgeable staff can provide you with specific routes based on your personal needs and desires.

April 1st - November 2nd: Store Hours: 9am to 7pm

November 3rd - March 31st: Store Hours: 9am to 5pm

Ages & Requirements

We offer rental options for all ages, including baby and child accessories. If you are 18 or younger, one of your parents or a legal guardian will need to sign the Release from Liability form. 

• Please note, no customer under the age of 18 will be given a bike without an adult over the age of 18 present.
• For electric bikes, riders must be ages 16+.
• All guests must be able to ride a bike on their own (unless on attachments)
• Tag-a-longs and double trailers must be purchased with a Hybrid Bike. They can’t be attached to road bikes, eBikes, or personal bicycles.

• Price includes full day comfort hybrid bike rental and grounds admission. Admission to the estate can be purchased on-site. Please see planned renovation for the Mansion.

Not Included

• Admission to the mansion can be purchased on-site directly from Mount Vernon.
• Baby seats, trailers, or other kids equipment (available at checkout)
• Equipment protection - This additional coverage includes full damage coverage & 50% coverage against lost or stolen equipment

• Dress appropriately for the weather - we recommend comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, and layers for variable wear conditions.
