Description

Kendall Mountain Adult Ski Rental Package

No gear, no problem — this full-day rental package gets adult skiers set up with everything needed to get on the chairlift and start lapping the hill. It's a straightforward, no-fuss way to try skiing on a small, uncrowded mountain that's built for building confidence, whether that's a first run ever or a return to the sport after years away.

Because the hill stays quiet compared to Colorado's larger resorts, there's room to get comfortable with rental gear at an easy pace — no crowded rental lines, no rush to clear out for the next group. Just skis, boots, and poles fitted to get you moving, and a compact mountain right outside the door to test them on.

Duration

  1. Full-day rental, valid for the day of pickup

Location / Where to Meet

  1. Kendall Mountain Ski Area, at the end of 14th Street in Silverton, Colorado — about four blocks from downtown
  2. Rental equipment is picked up inside the base lodge (Kendall Mountain Community Center) when the lift is running

Ages & Requirements

  1. This package is sized for adult skiers; a separate Junior Ski Rental Package is available for kids' sizing
  2. Because this is a smaller, community-run ski hill, rental inventory is more limited than at major commercial resorts — reserving online in advance is recommended to secure your size
  3. No prior skiing experience is required — the hill's small, uncrowded layout makes it a comfortable place to rent gear and learn at your own pace

What's Included

  1. Salomon alpine skis
  2. Salomon ski boots
  3. Poles

Not Included

  1. Helmet — not included; bring your own if you'd like to wear one on the slopes
  2. Lift ticket or season pass (required separately for lift access)
  3. Lessons or instruction

What to Bring / Wear

  1. Warm, weather-appropriate layers — base layer, insulated mid-layer, and a waterproof/windproof outer shell
  2. Waterproof gloves or mittens
  3. Ski goggles or sunglasses and sun protection (sunscreen, lip balm)
  4. Warm, ski-boot-friendly socks
  5. Your own helmet, if you'd like to wear one — rental helmets are not offered

FAQs

Do I need to reserve my ski rentals in advance?

Reserving online ahead of time is recommended. Because this is a small, community-run ski hill, rental inventory and sizes are limited, so booking early helps guarantee your gear is available.

Does this rental package include a helmet?

No, helmets are not included. Rental inventory here is more limited than at major commercial resorts, so if you'd like to wear a helmet on the slopes, please bring your own
