Description
7-Hour Coeur d'Alene E-Bike Rental — Full Day on the North Idaho Centennial Trail
Seven hours is a full day on the Centennial Trail — enough time to ride it end-to-end from Riverstone into the Washington state direction, explore the Coeur d'Alene lakefront in both directions, make a long stop at Higgins Point, and still take a relaxed lunch break somewhere along the way. The North Idaho Centennial Trail stretches 23 miles (37 km) from the Idaho–Washington border to Higgins Point on Lake Coeur d'Alene, and with a whole day on an e-bike you can experience as much or as little of it as you'd like.
The shop's Riverstone Village location puts you right on the trail, so every minute of your rental goes toward riding. Whether you want to cover serious distance or spend the day dipping in and out of Coeur d'Alene's waterfront parks and downtown streets, a 7-hour rental gives you the freedom to make it your own.

FAQs
Where can I ride for a full day from the shop?
With 7 hours, you can cover the full breadth of what the Centennial Trail has to offer. A popular full-day route heads east to Higgins Point on Lake Coeur d'Alene — about 7–8 miles (11–13 km) from the shop — for a midday stop at the lake, then returns through downtown and continues west along the Spokane River toward Post Falls, roughly 8 miles (13 km) in the other direction. Riders who want to push further can follow the trail all the way west to the Idaho–Washington state line and back. Staff can help you plan a route that matches your pace.
Can I ride to Higgins Point and beyond?
Yes — Higgins Point is about 7–8 miles (11–13 km) east of the shop along the Centennial Trail. With 7 hours you have plenty of time to reach it, spend a while at the lake, and continue or return at your own pace. Some riders also combine the Higgins Point run with a loop through downtown Coeur d'Alene on the way back.
What is a Pedego electric bike and how does it work?
Pedego electric bikes use a pedal-assist system — as you pedal, the motor kicks in to amplify your effort. You can dial the assist level up or down depending on how much of a workout you want. Most Pedego models also have a throttle, which propels the bike forward without pedaling — useful for starting from a stop or cruising on a flat stretch. The motor doesn't do all the work; you still pedal, but hills feel manageable and headwinds disappear.
How far can I go on a single charge?
Most Pedego bikes are rated for 20–60 miles (32–97 km) per charge depending on the model, terrain, rider weight, and assist level used. The Centennial Trail is mostly flat and paved, making it easy on battery — riders regularly reach Higgins Point on Lake Coeur d'Alene (about 7–8 miles / 11–13 km east of Riverstone) and return without concern. Staff can advise on range based on the route and bike model you choose.
Do I need experience riding a bicycle to rent an e-bike?
You should be comfortable riding a standard bicycle before renting an e-bike. The pedal-assist adds speed and power, which makes basic bike-handling skills important. Staff will walk you through the controls and give you time to practice before you head out.
Are helmets required?
Yes — helmets are included with every rental and are required to be worn while riding.
Do I need to be a strong cyclist?
Not at all. The pedal-assist motor levels the playing field — no prior fitness is needed to ride comfortably. The Centennial Trail is predominantly flat and paved, making it genuinely accessible for all abilities.
Do you have bikes for families or riders of different sizes?
Yes — the fleet includes multiple frame sizes and styles to fit a wide range of riders, including step-thru models for easier mounting and a tandem for two riders.
What is the weather policy?
Rentals go forward rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, contact the shop directly to discuss your options.
What happens if I get a flat tire or the bike has a mechanical issue?
Contact the shop directly if you experience a mechanical issue during your rental. Keep bikes locked when stopped and never leave them unattended — guests are responsible for the bikes during the rental period.
Can I bring my camera or phone?
Absolutely. The Centennial Trail offers stunning views of the Spokane River, lakefront, and surrounding mountains. The shop is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.
Is parking available at the shop?
Yes — free parking is available throughout Riverstone Village, with a covered parking garage also available.
Do I need to book in advance?
Booking in advance is recommended, especially on weekends and during peak season (June through September). The shop is open Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM; closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
What time does the shop open and close?
Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday. All bikes must be returned by 5:00 PM unless on a 24-hour rental.
Is the North Idaho Centennial Trail paved?
Yes — the Centennial Trail is predominantly paved with asphalt or concrete. There are a small number of sections where the trail runs alongside roads rather than fully separated; your guide will walk you through what to expect before you head out.
Are e-bikes allowed on the North Idaho Centennial Trail?
Yes — Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are permitted on the Centennial Trail. Idaho state law treats Class 1 and 2 e-bikes the same as regular bicycles on paved multi-use paths.
Is there free parking at the shop?
Yes — free parking is available throughout Riverstone Village, with a covered parking garage also available for longer stays.
