Description
Weekly Bike Rental in Sonoma, CA
A week on a bike in Sonoma is a different kind of vacation entirely. The valley becomes your neighborhood — you know which roads are quieter in the morning, which wineries are worth the detour, and which tasting room has the pours you'll tell people about when you get home. Seven mornings at the shop means you'll cover everything: the vineyard corridor on day one, Carneros and the southern valley by mid-week, the advanced routes toward Glen Ellen and Kenwood by the end, and still have room for a slow, aimless afternoon with no particular destination.
The full fleet is available at checkout. A week is when the road bike and the electric tandem start making serious sense — the road bike for cyclists who want to use Sonoma as a base for real mileage, and the e-bike for anyone who wants the entire valley within reach without fatigue. Either way, a week here means you'll leave knowing this valley in a way most visitors never do.

Where can I ride from the shop?
The shop sits at the head of a local bike path that leads directly into Sonoma's quiet country roads and vineyard corridors. There are 11 wineries within 5 miles, making this one of the most accessible wine-country cycling experiences in California. Highlights within easy range include Sebastiani Winery (1.5 miles), Vella Cheese Factory (1.5 miles), Figone Olive Oil (1.5 miles), Scribe Winery (3.0 miles), Gundlach-Bundschu (3.0 miles), Tin Barn (3.0 miles), Bartholomew Estate (3.2 miles), and Buena Vista (2.2 miles). Note that some wineries along area roads are not safe to ride to — the shop team will advise you on which routes to avoid.
Which wineries are not safe to reach by bike?
Several wineries in the area are located on roads that are not suitable for cycling and should not be attempted. These include Anaba Wines, Cline Cellars, Gloria Ferrer Wines, Jacuzzi Vineyards, Kivelstadt Cellars, Larson Family, Robledo, Roche Winery (Bonness Rd), and Viansa. The shop team will provide full route guidance at pickup.
Do I need to book in advance?
Advance reservations are strongly recommended. The shop sells out of bikes regularly on weekends, holidays, and most summer and fall days.
What can I realistically cover in a week from Sonoma
A full week gives you the entire valley and then some. Suggested approach: days one and two on the flat vineyard corridor (all fitness levels); day three toward Carneros for a change of terrain; day four a dedicated winery day with advance appointments at your top picks; day five the Glen Ellen route (advanced — best on a touring bike or e-bike); day six a longer push toward Kenwood or beyond; day seven at your own pace with no agenda. The shop team will map out a personalized week-long route plan at pickup.
