Description
Weekly Bike Rental in Downtown Napa
A week with a bike in Napa Valley is a different kind of trip entirely. No car, no rush, no winery appointments you can't change — just the Vine Trail and the whole valley laid out in front of you, explored in whatever order suits the day. The Downtown Napa shop is the natural hub for guests staying in the city: step out in the morning and choose your direction — north toward Yountville, Oakville, and the Silverado Trail wineries, or south along the river toward Kennedy Park. By day three you'll have favorite stretches; by day seven you'll know this valley better than most people who visit for a weekend.
A week-long rental from the Napa shop is built for repeat explorers, longer-stay guests, and anyone who wants the freedom of a bike without the cost of a daily rental. Upgrade to a pedal-assist e-bike and the full range of the valley — Napa to St. Helena, 21 miles (34 km) one way — becomes a realistic day ride. Or rent a road bike for a week of proper cycling on the valley's quietest country roads, covering ground that most visitors never reach.
Duration
7 days. Pick up on day one during shop hours; return by shop closing on day seven.

FAQs

Three categories of bikes are available, in multiple sizes:
Comfort Cruisers — Upright, relaxed-position bikes ideal for casual trail riding. Sizes: Small (5'0"–5'5"), Medium (5'5"–5'8"), Large (5'8"–5'11"), X-Large (5'11"–6'3").

Road Bikes (Specialized Roubaix SL8) — Performance bikes with electronic shifting for experienced cyclists. Seven frame sizes from 44cm (4'8"–5'0") to 61cm (6'2"–6'5"); most sizes feature SRAM eTAP 1×12 groupset; 58cm features Shimano 105 Di2.

Can I return to a different shop location?
Yes — point-to-point rides are available across all three locations. A $20-per-bike Relocation Fee applies when you return to a different shop from where you started. The three locations are:
- Downtown Napa — 1275 McKinstry Street, Napa, CA 94559
- Yountville — 6500 Washington Street, Yountville, CA 94599
- St. Helena — 2800 Main Street, St. Helena, CA 94574 (at Charles Krug Winery)
Note that there is no Calistoga location; the St. Helena shop is the closest (8 miles south of Calistoga). Shuttles and bike retrieval services are not offered.
Do I need to book in advance?
Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak season (May–October) and on weekends. Inventory is limited and the shop's rental fleet is frequently fully booked on busy days.
What can I realistically cover in a week from Downtown Napa?
A week gives you the time to ride every accessible section of the Vine Trail and then some. In seven days from Napa, you could ride the 9-mile (14 km) trail north to Yountville multiple times, take a day to push further to Oakville or the Oak Knoll wineries, and try a different route each day. The full Napa-to-St. Helena stretch is approximately 21 miles (34 km) one way — very manageable on an e-bike for a day trip. You can also combine trail riding with side trips into Napa's neighborhoods, the Riverfront, and Oxbow Market at a completely unhurried pace.
