Description

Two Days, Two Wheels & Plenty of Time to Explore West Maui!

Keep an e-bike for two full days and experience West Maui without trying to squeeze everything into a single ride. Spend one day exploring the beaches, viewpoints, and resort areas around Kāʻanapali and Kapalua, then wake up the next morning and choose an entirely different adventure. With the bike already yours, you can head out whenever you're ready instead of returning to the shop and starting over each day.

Choose from several e-bike styles and get matched with a bike suited to your size and riding plans. Before setting off, you'll receive an orientation covering the controls, gears, battery, and pedal assist, plus custom route-planning help if you'd like recommendations. For a multi-day rental, you'll also want to recharge your battery overnight so you're ready for another full day of exploring.

Two days means there's no reason to rush the good parts. Stop at a beach, lock up the bike and explore a walking trail, grab lunch, return to a favorite viewpoint, or save an entire area for day two. Whether you plan two big rides or use your e-bike for shorter adventures throughout your stay, you'll have the flexibility to experience West Maui on your own schedule for two days straight.

FAQs

Where can I take my e-bike during a 2-day rental?

Your two-day rental gives you plenty of freedom to explore West Maui while following local bicycle rules and posted access restrictions. Instead of trying to cover everything in one ride, you can divide the area between your two days—for example, spend one day around Kāʻanapali and the surrounding hills and another exploring farther north toward Kapalua.

Your practical riding range depends on your particular e-bike, terrain, rider weight, pedal-assist use, and battery level. The team can help you plan routes that fit your interests and expected battery range before you set off.

Do I need previous e-bike experience for a 2-day rental?

No previous e-bike experience is required, but you should already be comfortable riding and controlling a regular bicycle. Before your rental begins, you'll receive an orientation covering the controls, gears, battery, and pedal-assist system, and an evaluation test ride can help ensure you're comfortable before heading out on your own.

Do I need to charge my e-bike overnight?

Yes, recharging the battery each night is recommended for multi-day rentals. Battery range varies depending on the bike, terrain, rider weight, gearing, and how much pedal assist you use, and a full recharge may take several hours. During your orientation, you'll be shown how to remove and charge the battery so you're ready for the next day's ride.

Where should I keep the e-bike overnight?

Keep your e-bike in a secure location protected from rain and weather. Whenever the bike is left unattended, securely lock the bike and battery to a stationary object using the provided lock. Your rental team can also review proper storage and locking procedures when you pick up your bike.

What are some good places to explore over two days?

With two days, you can spread your West Maui sightseeing out instead of racing between stops. Potential destinations include Kāʻanapali, Kapalua, Kapalua Bay, Oneloa Bay, D.T. Fleming Beach Park, Dragon's Teeth at Makaluapuna Point, Honolua Store, and the hills above the coastline.

You can also lock your e-bike and explore portions of the Kapalua Coastal Trail or Village Walking Trail on foot, stop for meals, spend time at the beach, or revisit a favorite place the following day. Tell the team what interests you most and they can help you build different routes for each day.

What if I return the bike early?

Early returns don't receive a credit — the full two-day rental amount applies regardless of when you bring the bike back.

Can I split my two days across different parts of the island?

You're free to ride wherever you'd like each day. Since the bike (and E-Bike Rescue coverage, if added) is scoped to a 7.5-mile radius of West Maui, most riders stick to routes between Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua across their two days.

What rules should I follow while riding my e-bike in Maui?

E-bikes follow the same basic rules of the road as bicycles. Ride on the right side of the road in the same direction as traffic, obey traffic lights, signs, and lane markings, and use hand signals when turning or stopping. When riding with others, travel single file rather than side-by-side.

Stay off sidewalks, golf course paths, and anywhere marked “No Bikes.” If you'll be riding around dusk or after dark, make sure your bike lights are turned on so you're easier for drivers and other road users to see.

Do I need previous e-bike experience?

No previous e-bike experience is required, but you do need to already know how to ride a bicycle confidently. Riders should be comfortable balancing, pedaling, braking, mounting and dismounting, and making controlled turns. Before you set off, you'll receive an orientation covering the e-bike controls and pedal-assist system so you can get comfortable with how everything works.

What is E-Bike Rescue, and what does it cover?

E-Bike Rescue is optional coverage that can be added before your ride for $10. It covers assistance for flat tires and electronic failures within a 7.5-mile (12 km) radius in West Maui.

Coverage does not extend north of Honolua Bay or south of Olowalu. Assistance outside the covered area may still be available for an additional fee based on distance. Running out of battery outside the West Maui boundaries is also not covered. If you'd like E-Bike Rescue, make sure to add it before beginning your ride.

How long does an e-bike battery last?

Battery range varies based on the bike, rider weight, terrain, gearing, and how much pedal assist you use. Typically, standard e-bikes can travel approximately 12–30 miles (19–48 km) per charge, while premium e-bikes may reach approximately 30–60 miles (48–97 km).

To conserve battery, use lower levels of pedal assist when you don't need the extra power and shift into an appropriate lower gear when climbing hills. If the battery does run out, you can still pedal and shift gears like a regular bicycle.
