Description
1-Day Bike Rental in Yountville, Napa Valley
Yountville is the sweet spot of the Napa Valley Vine Trail — 9 miles from Downtown Napa to the south, 12 miles from St. Helena to the north, and right in the middle of the valley's most celebrated wine corridor. A full day from the Yountville shop gives you the freedom to go wherever the trail takes you: north through the Oakville corridor past Opus One, Groth, and Silver Oak with a lunch stop at Oakville Grocery; south through the Oak Knoll District toward Napa and the Oxbow Market; or a combination of both for a full valley-floor experience.
There's no fixed agenda — pick up your comfort cruiser, pedal-assist e-bike, or road bike whenever you're ready, ride as far as you want, and return by closing. Yountville's Washington Street is lined with excellent restaurants and tasting rooms for post-ride stops, and Bouchon Bakery is steps from the shop if you want to grab something for the road.
Duration
1 day. Pick up any time during shop hours; bike must be returned by shop closing (5:30 PM).

Open daily 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day).

Can I return to a different shop location?
Yes — point-to-point rides are available across all three locations. A $20-per-bike Relocation Fee applies when you return to a different shop from where you started. The three locations are:
- Downtown Napa — 1275 McKinstry Street, Napa, CA 94559
- Yountville — 6500 Washington Street, Yountville, CA 94599
- St. Helena — 2800 Main Street, St. Helena, CA 94574 (at Charles Krug Winery)
Note that there is no Calistoga location; the St. Helena shop is the closest (8 miles south of Calistoga). Shuttles and bike retrieval services are not offered.
Do I need to book in advance?
Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak season (May–October) and on weekends. Inventory is limited and the shop's rental fleet is frequently fully booked on busy days.
Where should I ride from Yountville?
Yountville is ideally positioned to ride in either direction. Head north on quiet country roads past Opus One, Groth, and Silver Oak, and stop for lunch at Oakville Grocery — a Napa Valley institution. Or head south on the Vine Trail through the Oak Knoll District, where Domaine Chandon and Trefethen are among the stops, continuing into Downtown Napa to visit Oxbow Market and the Napa Riverfront. Round trip to Napa is approximately 18 miles (29 km); round trip to Oakville is around 8 miles (13 km). On an e-bike, you can comfortably do both directions in a single day.
