Downtown Napa is where the valley begins — and from the shop steps, the Vine Trail puts 9 miles of car-free riding straight north to Yountville at your doorstep. Pick up whenever it suits you during shop hours and spend the day exploring at your own pace. Head up through Kennedy Park and along the Napa Riverfront, roll past the Rail Arts District's two-mile stretch of murals and sculptures, and keep pedaling into the Oak Knoll District to visit Trefethen, Domaine Chandon, or Laird Family Estate. Or skip the wineries entirely and cruise into Yountville for lunch at one of the valley's best restaurant towns, then turn back toward Napa at your own pace.
Downtown Napa is the ideal base for guests staying in the city who want to spend a full day covering the valley without a car. Comfort cruisers are the relaxed option for the Vine Trail; upgrade to a pedal-assist e-bike to open up the full 9-mile stretch to Yountville and back without breaking a sweat; or rent a road bike and cover serious miles on the valley's quiet country roads.

The Napa shop is located near the Napa Wine Train building, within a short walk of Oxbow Public Market and the Napa Riverfront. Open daily 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day).

- Kids bikes available for ages 6+ and 40 inches (102 cm) and taller. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

What bikes are available for rental?
Three categories of bikes are available, in multiple sizes:
Comfort Cruisers — Upright, relaxed-position bikes ideal for casual trail riding. Sizes: Small (5'0"–5'5"), Medium (5'5"–5'8"), Large (5'8"–5'11"), X-Large (5'11"–6'3").
Electric Bikes (Specialized Turbo Como) — Pedal-assist with four assist levels, throttle, 20 mph top speed, and 60+ mile range. Sizes: SM/MED (5'0"–5'7"), LG (5'8"–6'1"), XL (6'2"–6'6") (throttle not available on XL).
Road Bikes (Specialized Roubaix SL8) — Performance bikes with electronic shifting for experienced cyclists. Seven frame sizes from 44cm (4'8"–5'0") to 61cm (6'2"–6'5"); most sizes feature SRAM eTAP 1×12 groupset; 58cm features Shimano 105 Di2.

Can I return to a different shop location?
Yes — point-to-point rides are available across all three locations. A $20-per-bike Relocation Fee applies when you return to a different shop from where you started. The three locations are:
- Downtown Napa — 1275 McKinstry Street, Napa, CA 94559
- Yountville — 6500 Washington Street, Yountville, CA 94599
- St. Helena — 2800 Main Street, St. Helena, CA 94574 (at Charles Krug Winery)
Note that there is no Calistoga location; the St. Helena shop is the closest (8 miles south of Calistoga). Shuttles and bike retrieval services are not offered.
Do I need to book in advance?
Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak season (May–October) and on weekends. Inventory is limited and the shop's rental fleet is frequently fully booked on busy days.
Where should I ride from Downtown Napa?
The Vine Trail from the Napa shop heads north 9 miles to Yountville — one of the best stretches of car-free trail in the valley. Along the way you'll pass Kennedy Park on the Napa River, the Rail Arts District (RAD Napa) with two miles of murals and public art, and the Oak Knoll District where favorites like Trefethen and Domaine Chandon are within easy reach of the trail. Yountville is a natural turnaround point, with excellent restaurants, tasting rooms, and Bouchon Bakery for a mid-ride stop. Round trip from Napa to Yountville is approximately 18 miles (29 km) — very manageable on an e-bike, and achievable on a Comfort Cruiser for anyone reasonably fit.
Can I ride all the way to St. Helena from Napa?
The full Napa-to-St. Helena distance is approximately 21 miles (34 km) one way. It's a long day on a Comfort Cruiser but very doable on an e-bike. If you want to ride one way and return the bike at the St. Helena shop, a $20-per-bike Relocation Fee applies. There is currently no continuous Vine Trail segment connecting Yountville to St. Helena (that section is in development with a target completion of 2028), so part of the route will be on local roads.

Exceptions will not be made for individuals claiming they did not understand or thought the terms said something different. Optional Trip Protection (explained below) is the best option for anyone that wants the right to cancel up to 24 hours for any reason for a full refund (including the Trip Protection fee).*
- A minimum of 48 hrs notice (prior to tour meet time) is required in order to receive a partial refund.
- Reservations are strictly non-refundable within 48 hours of rental start.
- Cancellations for any reason will incur a 10% cancellation fee before refund. Online booking fees are also non-refundable.
- Alternately, you may request a full credit Gift Card towards a future rescheduled booking.
