Private Half-Day Guided Outdoor Rock Climbing in Red Rock Canyon

Spend four unforgettable hours climbing the striking red sandstone walls of Red Rock Canyon Open Space, a hidden gem just minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. This half-day adventure is the perfect introduction to sport climbing, with routes that range from beginner-friendly slabs to more vertical challenges for those looking to push themselves.

Unlike traditional granite crags, the cliffs here are pure bolted sport climbs, making them an excellent environment for learning safe lead climbing, top-roping, and lowering techniques. With over 100 routes spread across more than a dozen distinct walls, there’s no shortage of variety. Beginners will love the approachable faces of Ripple Wall and Whale’s Tail, while returning climbers can sample steeper pitches on Sayer’s Wall or Wiggins Wall. Along the way, your certified guide will teach essential climbing skills, including belaying, knot tying, movement on sandstone, and safe descents.

This outing strikes the perfect balance between learning and adventure—ideal for families, first-timers, or those with a limited schedule who want to experience the thrill of outdoor climbing in a spectacular canyon setting.
