Downhill Bike Rentals - Great for Northstar Resort

Premium Downhill Bike Upgrade your ride with high-performance downhill bikes built for bike parks and lift-access terrain. These premium models feature top-tier components, 180-200 mm travel, and dual-crown forks for ultimate control. With greater adjustability, they deliver a dialed-in experience for advanced riders - perfect for the Whistler Bike Park.

Enduro Bike

Enduro bikes offer the perfect balance of downhill capability and trail bike agility. With 160-170 mm travel, a single crown fork, wide gears, and a dropper seat post, they’re built for gravity-focused singletrack. Lighter and more maneuverable than a true downhill bike, yet capable of handling technical descents with ease. The longer travel makes them ideal for gravity-focused riders who want to take on challenging trails and downhill sections.

Standard Downhill Bike

Take on the bike park with confidence with a high-performance downhill bike built for lift-accessed, gravity-fed riding. Featuring 180-200 mm travel, dual-crown forks, and purpose-built geometry, these bikes maximize control and performance on technical descents, designed to handle the most challenging terrain out there.

Kids Downhill Bike

Give your young rider the ultimate gravity-fed experience with a full-suspension kids' downhill bike, designed for lift-accessed trails. With kid-sized controls, brakes, and suspension, these bikes provide confidence and control on descents. Perfect for your young rider 5'2" and shorter.

Trail E-Bike

Trail E-Bike Description Ride singletrack and dirt roads with ease on a pedal-assist trail E-Bike. With 130-150 mm travel, a single crown fork, wide gears, and a dropper seat post, these bikes help you ride farther with less effort.

Note: Our mountain e-bikes are a great choice for non-lift access mountain bike trails. They are not allowed to be taken to the lift-assisted downhill trails at the Whistler bike park. However, there are a lot of e-MTB friendly trails all around Whistler to take the mountain bikes on. For the mountain bike park downhill trails, we suggest a non-electric downhill mountain bike rental.

Path Bike

Enjoy a smooth, effortless ride with a path bike—perfect for cruising through town or exploring scenic trails. Designed for comfort, these bikes offer an easy, upright ride, ideal for paved paths and leisurely adventures.

Kids Path Bike

If your kid is ready to explore, a trail-ready path bike is the perfect choice. With 130-150 mm travel, a single crown fork, wide-range gearing, and a dropper seat post, these bikes handle singletrack, dirt roads, and mixed terrain with ease. Full suspension and knobby tires provide stability for uphill, flat, and downhill sections.

Half-Day - "Morning Only" and "Afternoon Only" are half-day, 4 hour rental options. Generally, half-day morning rentals are 10 AM – 2 PM, and half-day afternoon rentals are 2 PM – 6 PM.

Northstar Performance Demo is conveniently located right at the base of Northstar Resort in Truckee, steps from the gondola and trail access.

Ages & Requirements

Riders must be at least 16 years old to rent or operate an electric bike. All riders under 18 must wear a helmet, which is included with your rental.
Electric Bikes are not permitted at the Northstar Bike Park.

What's Included

Open-face Helmet included with all rentals
Basic Armor (knee and elbow pads) included with downhill bike rentals. It's a good idea if you are riding downhill or in a bike park.

Not Included

Northstar Bike Park Tickets
Chest Protector - A Chest Protector helps protect your elbows, shoulders and chest while riding. It's a good idea if you are riding downhill or in a bike park. Available at checkout.
Damage Waiver - Your waiver covers all damage that can be repaired. It doesn’t cover loss, theft or negligence.
