Cars are looking out for their friends on two wheels, so you can feel safe on most residential streets. Plus, there are plenty of scenic options, too. Here are some of our favorite Pagosa Springs bike paths.

Pagosa Lakes

A collection of five lakes just south of town, Pagosa Lakes boasts a number of paved, easy Pagosa Springs bike paths, perfect for a cruiser bike. The lakes themselves are scenic and you can paddleboard or kayak on them as well, though swimming is not allowed.

San Juan River Walk

If you’re looking for things to do in Pagosa Springs, you can’t go wrong with an easy ride down the San Juan River Walk. One of the best Pagosa Springs paved bike trails, the route follows the San Juan River for about two miles. The trail is almost entirely flat and five feet wide, so you have plenty of room to share the trail with the many other bikers and dog walkers who also use it!

Town-to-Lakes Trail

Pagosa Springs is currently working on a multi-use trail that links the downtown area and the river walk with the paved biking paths at Pagosa Lakes. The trail will provide a safe, bike-friendly alternative to Highway 160. If you’re looking for Pagosa Springs bike paths, check out the progress they’ve made on the town’s website.
