Snorkeling with Whale Sharks in Baja
Swim and snorkel with the largest fish in the world! Huge (30 feet long!) and benign, whale sharks are true gentle giants. They’re filter feeders, not hunters, so swimming and snorkeling with whale sharks in Mexico is safe with Cabo Expeditions to guide you. This tour includes transport from Cabo to the seaside town of La Paz on the Sea of Cortez, where the whale sharks spend the winter months. You’ll never forget this La Paz attraction that stands out among things to do in and around Cabo.
An awesome, close-up encounter awaits you with your Cabo Expeditions tour guide. As the whale-sized fish glides slowly through the water in search of plankton, you’ll be at their side. Swimming gently and slowly near the surface, these docile creatures allow you to approach them without risk.
You'll close out the day's adventure with a quick stop in the small, beautiful city of Todos Santos, known for its excellent surfing and quaint streets with wonderful, unique shops. (Note: You will be back in Los Cabos around 8:30 pm. Please take this into consideration when making dinner plans for the day of your tour.)

What to Know
- Minimum age is 8 years old
- Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult
- This tour is not allowed for guests who are pregnant or those with heart, back and/or neck problems
- No one under the influence of alcohol or drugs is allowed on the tour
- Depending on weather and wind conditions, the ride can be bumpy
- Boat ride only options are available if you prefer not to snorkel/swim
Please note that you are required to know how to swim in order to participate in this activity.

CHANGES — We will accept changes in tours with no penalty charge if done 24 hours prior to your tour.
CANCELLATIONS made more than 72 hours or more prior to excursion date — A cancellation will receive a 100% refund.
CANCELLATIONS made 24-72 hours before the activity — A 50% refund will be available.
*CANCELLATIONS OF FULL-DAY (more than 4 hours) TOURS — A 50% refund will be available if the cancellation is made at least 14 days before the tour.
CANCELLATIONS OF MULTI-DAY (more than 1 day) EXPEDITIONS — A 50% refund will be available if the cancellation is made at least 60 days before the expedition.
NO SHOWS — No shows will not receive any refund.
ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS — The near-perfect Los Cabos weather with year-round sunshine makes Cabo an ideal destination for outdoor activities. While we do our best to plan ahead in order to give you an unforgettable experience on your adventure, we occasionally get unexpected bad weather, which could affect the quality of your tour.
- If the tour gets cancelled prior to departure, a 100% refund will be issued.
- If the tour gets cancelled after it has departed, a 50% refund will be available.
