Description

Key West Reef Snorkel & Sail Adventure

Join us for an incredible snorkel experience at the only living coral reef in North America! After boarding our luxurious 54 ft (16 m) sailing yacht, we’ll have an hour of cruising along the crystal-clear, azure waters of Key West before arriving at the snorkel spot!

Once there, you can dive right into the marvels of the Key West reefs, seeing all types of marine wildlife from ancient sea turtles and gentle nurse sharks to brightly colored anemones and tropical fish! After an hour in the water you’ll start the trip back to dock, where we offer a selection of refreshments including sodas, beer, and wine!

To ensure the perfect outing, we provide all the necessary snorkel gear and refreshments, along with a seasoned and friendly crew dedicated to delivering the ultimate adventure! We also limit the number of guests on each trip, guaranteeing a more personalized and enjoyable experience!

You will be meeting at the Hyatt Centric Resort & Spa at the address above. Proceed past the pool and you will see the large sailboat at the end of the dock.
All parking around us is pay to park. There is a parking lot at A&B Marina and Conch Seafood Republic and parking on Front St, Greene St and Simonton that are paid by the hour. Uber and Lyft are also available on the island.

Ages & Requirements

There is no minimum age, adults accompanying the minors must sign a waiver and are responsible for the supervision of the minor at all times
Bookings with children under 45 lbs (20 kg) should call to ensure proper life jackets are available
Adults must accompany minors
Instruction on how to use equipment is provided, but it is recommended to be comfortable in water over your head and have the ability to swim
Must be able to climb a ladder back into the boat

Waterproof Camera - The company is not responsible for any damaged or lost items.
Seasickness medications - If you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take sea sickness medication at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before the scheduled boat time. It is too late to take the medication if you are already seasick on the boat.
Please remove any jewelry, watches, or anything that can get damaged by water or you don’t want to lose.

Wildlife Guidelines

Please refrain from touching, feeding, or harassing any wildlife you come across such as dolphins, manatees, shellfish, turtles, etc. Calmly watch from a distance! Also, please be aware of your body placement and equipment when around the reefs and wrecks. There is fragile coral, and many wrecks are rusting and breaking down, therefore to avoid damaging them further, please don't knock into them!

FAQs

Do I need to know how to swim?

Essentially yes. There will be no in water instruction or help, unless there is an emergency, from the crew. We highly recommend that you be comfortable swimming in several feet of water by yourself for several yards. We do have pool noodles in addition to the required life vest for extra flotation.

Can I bring a service animal?

You are welcome to bring your service animal as long as they are officially registered.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full refunds require 24-hour advance notice, no exceptions. Realize that we held space for you and will not issue a refund or rebook the trip if not called in advance of 24hrs.

The boat leaves the dock promptly on time to ensure all passengers have the maximum amount of time to enjoy their trip; the boat will not be held or delayed past departure time for passengers, no exceptions. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time to check-in. Failure to arrive on time is not grounds for a refund or rebooking, plan your travel times carefully.

This experience does require a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered an alternative date/experience or a full refund.

WEATHER POLICY

FishMonster & IslandJane Charters will not depart in unsafe weather conditions. Weather can be a factor throughout the year and can change very quickly. Your safety is and always will be our first priority!

The Captain has final say on whether or not a trip will be canceled. If the Captain deems the weather conditions to be unsafe, you will be given the option of rescheduling if available or be issued a full refund.

In the event that conditions are safe but rougher than normal, the Captain will advise you prior to departure if they feel you would be better suited to go out on a calmer day and offer you either a refund or alternate day. Should you choose to go out still and become sick or wish to cut your trip short, you will not be issued a refund or rebooked.

We go to great effort to ensure not only your safety but that you will have a high-quality experience. We will attempt to contact you by all means that have been made available to us (phone, text, and email) to tell you if adverse weather conditions could be a factor affecting the quality or cancellation of your trip. In rare cases, we have canceled trips even after we have left the dock. If we do not feel we can provide a quality, safe experience, we will cancel and issue you a full refund.

Note to out of area passengers and those making the drive down the Keys:

We strongly encourage you to contact us and read your emails before making the drive to Key West. We try to advise all of our guests, but it is often the case with international travelers or those arriving from out of town or on a cruise ship that we have no way of contacting you. You may arrive at our dock to find that your trip has been canceled. If your trip is canceled, we are not responsible for your travel cost, parking fees or any other expense associated with your trip. If the forecast is calling for a tropical storm, we will cancel all trips, so please call and verify before making the drive.
