This is the ultimate overnight river trip for any outdoor enthusiast! With scenic beauty, exciting whitewater, and camping under the stars, this adventure trip is designed for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels, offering a chance to paddle, play, and relax along one of the most stunning sections of the Colorado River. Camping with family and friends on this all-inclusive trip makes memories that last a lifetime.

Day 1: Scenic Paddling, Postcard Alley, & Riverside Camping
Your journey begins at the historic Dewey Bridge, where you'll launch into a breathtaking flatwater section called “Postcard Alley”. Rightfully named, the scenery is one of the most beautiful and photographed areas of the Southwest Desert, known for its iconic red rock formations and dramatic landscapes. This calm section is perfect for getting used to your paddleboard, swimming, and soaking in the beauty of the Southwest. As the day winds down, you'll arrive at our first camp at Onion Creek Rapid, the gateway to the Fisher Towers Daily section. The scenery at this spot is unlike any other. Settle into your beachside campsite, unwind by the water, or jump in for some fun at the rapid before enjoying a freshly prepared dinner cooked by your guides.
Day 2: Fisher Towers Whitewater Adventure
Wake up to a hearty breakfast with a view, then break down camp and gear up for an exciting day of rafting and paddleboarding. The Fisher Towers section is the perfect place to learn the art of navigating whitewater, offering a mix of Class II rapids and occasional Class III thrills during spring runoff (April-May). With expert guides leading the way, you’ll paddle through fun, splashy rapids, admire the towering sandstone cliffs, and experience the magic of the Colorado River before wrapping up an unforgettable adventure.
This trip is all about adventure, connection, and relaxation—perfect for families, groups, and anyone looking to experience the best of Moab’s iconic river landscape. Whether you’re paddling, swimming, or just soaking in the view, this overnight river trip promises memories that will last a lifetime!

FAQs

What should I pack for an overnight rafting trip?

What to Wear on the River:

  • Quick-drying clothes (lightweight, moisture-wicking shirts & shorts—no cotton)
  • Swimsuit (to wear under your clothes or alone)
  • Secure footwear (water shoes, sport sandals with a heel strap, or old sneakers—no flip-flops)
  • Wide-brimmed hat or baseball cap (for sun protection)
  • Sunglasses with a retainer strap (polarized lenses help with glare)
  • Lightweight long-sleeve sun shirt or rash guard (for added sun protection)

What to Bring for Camp:

  • Warm layers for evening (fleece jacket, sweatpants, or leggings—it can get chilly at night)
  • Comfortable camp clothes (T-shirt, shorts, or lightweight pants)
  • Lightweight rain jacket or windbreaker (just in case)
  • Dry shoes or sandals for camp
  • Sleepwear (warm enough for cool desert nights)

  • Small towel or packable camping towel (optional)
  • Headlamp or flashlight (with extra batteries)

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary restrictions! Just leave us a note in the designated spot at checkout.

Is there a minimum number of guests required?

We require a minimum of 4 people to make this trip a go.

Is Stand Up Paddleboarding something I can do?

SUPs are very stable surfboards to stand on and use a long paddle in your hand to glide across the water and experience river and landscape that normally cannot be accessed. ‍Most people can do it - and they love it! It is relatively easy to learn, and most pick up the basics right away. All ages and skill levels can participate.

What if the weather looks bad?

If we deem the water conditions for the day dangerous we reserve the right to reschedule (safety first). Typically if it is raining, windy, cloudy, or hot we still go out on the river.

Is gratuity included?

No, but if you want to let your guide know what a great job they did, it is a way to do that! Your guide works hard to ensure that you have a fun and safe adventure. They appreciate being tipped. If you feel your guide has done a good job at keeping you entertained and sharing the wonderful river environment with you feel free to tip them. 12-30% is widely accepted as the industry norm; tipping is always appreciated but never expected.

How fit should I be to go rafting?

You should be reasonably healthy, and must be able to fit into the life vests supplied by us. Paddling can sometimes be tiring, but your guides will instruct you on paddling techniques which are lots of fun to learn. If you're in doubt about your fitness to go rafting check with your doctor before you go.
