Description
Mammoth Lakes Hiking Tour: Explore 12 Lakes
This is truly the highlight reel of the Mammoth and June area, passing through 12 of the most breathtaking lakes to be found in the region. This trek starts with a hike to Minaret Lake- the proud lake of the Ritter range boasting an incredible backdrop of jagged spires and peaks. This spectacular trek even has a 1-mile section of cross-country hiking, where will follow a faint path on rocky terrain to Cecile and Iceberg Lake- making this a perfect intro for those wanting a little extra challenge along the way! From here it's all trail to June- passing 9 more astounding alpine lakes along the way, including Ediza Lake (said to be the favorite of John Muir himself!) and the infamous Thousand Island Lake. We end this trek at Silver Lake (in the town of June Lake) where there are even more sights to see and plenty of restaurants to celebrate and plan the next adventure!
